I'm looking for a specific guide that can walk me through the whole setting up of a vast.ai rental, but specifically being done from the use of a pc that is running windows(11). As I understand it, vast only works with linux? Or is that only for those who are renting out their own GPUs that need to have Linux? The website wasn't all too specific there. Anyway, the particular pc I'm currently using is a Microsoft Surface Go 2(touchscreen), so I'm not too entirely sure how to go about doing it without having to run it all through a virtual machine that's running on Linux, but more specifically if it even CAN be run with a Microsoft Surface Go 2, being that its a touchscreen tablet-like device.
I also don't know too much about Github, nor have I ever even used a VM before, as I've just been living under a rock somewhere for the past 10 years or so now, computeristically speaking that is. To top that off, Im barely even familiar with the Surface device as is, and still having to learn my way around it by the use of a stylus instead of a mouse, which makes everything feel kind of awkward and tedious, as I relearn my basic ways around just a common everyday desktop environment again—I seem to have forgotten damn-near every single thing I used to know how to do. But it's what I got for now, and I'm really wanting to get up and running on XenBlocks somehow. I was mining in the beginning by phone until things got all difficult and stuff and I already feel so far behind, so Im determined to get myself back into it ASAP by doing some of these GPU rentals through vast.
If anyone might be able to point me in the direction of a guide that specifically covers what I am trying to accomplish, that'd be excellent, and if that's not a possible thing yet, if someone might be able to put together a decent guide to the vast rental route, but specifically being done from a windows pc, I would be especially grateful!
