VMUs that could be used to re-mint are destroyed when claiming a XENFT, depriving XENFT owners of the opportunity to save on gas costs.

Having a contract that mints XENFTs without VMU self-destruction would allow users to re-use those VMUs to mint, saving on gas costs.

I'm not technical enough to know but Jack didn't act like it was impossible in twitter spaces.

It benefits everyone using XENFTs (even if they don't re-mint, because calling self-destruct on each VMU likely costs gas, so everyone would save gas on claiming)

Yes, it would level the playing field for minters without technical expertise.
